I made this project following the instructions at Shelia's blog shesasassylady. Shelia includes a cut file you can download or you can follow her instructions and design your own. I used patterned papers from my stash for the straw, hat and bandanna. I enlisted the help of my 14 dd to draw the details on the face. I used chalk and marker for the face details. I really enjoyed this project and have started looking at ways I can make my own Gypsy paper piecing. I no idea when I will ever use this card but I couldn't pass up the challenge.

My girls and I are helping with Vacation Bible School this week. Tuesday we were given an assignment to thank someone we love. Yesterday when I got in from Summer School I was greeted with kool aid and lunch so I made a thank you cards to thank my girls for their courtesy. I used Cricut Alphabet heart (shadow feature) real size 4.25 height and 4.5 wide then copied, flipped and welded it to create the card base. I cut the top heart from Cricut Alphabet at 3.75 height and 4 wide. I used foam tape to attached the heart to the card base. This was a simple project that I plan to use o show DD1's friends so they can use their Cricut at home.
