Christmas Popcorn Tins

I made these popcorn "tins" from plastic cookie containers.  I got the plastic containers from my local Christmas Event.  We made about 30 of these containers as they were teacher gifts for my co-workers and my DDs teacher gifts.  These are for my brother's family.  I made cuts that matched each person's personality.  The cuts were made from various carts cut at "real dial" 2.29 or 2.4.

Cricut and Girl Scouts: A wonderful partnership!

This is from one of the books I made the girls in my Girl Scout troop.  As a community service project to earn their "dance" badge they used my E2 and E1 machines to cut very large dance icons and put them on the walls of the dance studio they attend.  The dance teacher was very impressed with the images and the girls' interest in making the dance studio a more beautiful place.

This wall is now covered with wonderful dance images.
Great job girls!

Cuttlebug Creations

I used my Cuttlebug to add texture to my Cricut cuts.  I used Shall We Dance and basic pink paper from my stash.  The cutouts are 3 inches.  These pages go with the title page from my previous post.  The other pages have dance stickers or other Cricut cuts.

Quick project to use as a gift.

I made a quick album for dds dance teacher.  She was on her way to meet her new grandbaby.  Yes it was a girl.  I used the Shall we Dance cart for the details and ribbons to close book.

Magazine Challenge Entry

I made a graduation album for my niece.  I made a section for her graduation photos and a section for her to add pictures of her friends. The graduation pages were black and white with red and blue accents.  To make the friends section more fun I used some of my Teresa Collins accents and change the accent color to pink.  I am having some difficulty deciding which LO to submit for my contest entry.  I think I like LO 1 the best.

Black cardstock, white caardstock and black and white pattern paper from Walmart.
Cricut cuts:
Forever Young all cuts at real dial size 2.5"
Page 30,39, 40, 45, 59 emblem
Page 39 emblem shift for all of the shadows
Page 68 (flower)
Page 63 (hat)

I used Teresa Collins Timeless collection for the memories envelop and tag and TC Miranda's jewels for the bling accents Maxson's Crowns and pink chalk.

For this page I used the Teresa Collins Timeless for the cards and Matt's Wings for accents.

For LO 3 I used Teresa Collins Timeless for the paper accents and
the pink ribbon flowers.

Welcome Banner

I made this banner for the monthly Cricut Circle Challenge.  I will use it at school for Spring Open House next week.  This banner was a big challenge for me because I wanted all the backgrounds the same but didn't have 7 matching pieces of paper.  I solved my problem by buying a roll of wrapping paper and cutting my squares from it.  To add stability to the project I cut the same square shape from cereal boxes then glued the wrapping paper top the cereal boxes. I used pop-dots to under the circles and the letters.  I cut my letters from dark red cardstock then covered the entire letter with a thick layer of glitter glue.  The letter shadow is cut from dark blue.  I used my xryon machine to apply an even layer of adhesive to attach the letter base to its shadow.  I used dark blue ribbon to string the letters together.  I taped the ribbon to the back of each letter so my banner will hang nicely.  I am very pleased with the results of this challenge

Cartridges used and sizes
Ashlyn's Alphabet:  base letters and shadow 5"
All Mixed Up:  Square tag (rotated -45 degrees) 8"
Basic Cake:  Circle  (top row ninth icon) 7"

Weekly Challenge

I made this bulletin board using School book and my gypsy.  I cut the puzzle pieces at 6 inches and the symbols at 4 inches.  My principal liked it so much she want me to cut vinyl pawprints for the hallway.  I'll post those pics later.

.The saying is "connecting MATH to our world".  I made an 8 piece puzzle with the word math and math symbols.

Thrift Store Find

I found this wooden tray near the toy section of my local thrift store.  The tray had a few magnetic dress-up bear pieces in it.  The thrift store clerk gave em the tray because there were so many missing pieces.  In fact they were throwing it away!!
  • I painted the tray a reddish pink color using paint pens and glued various scraps paper from my stash into the try spaces.
  •  I used Home Accents for the love sentiment, Gypsy Wanderings with shadows for the hearts.  I cut the swans using Splish Splash.
  • I cut one of the swans regularly and flipped the other swan using my gypsy.  I folded a piece of cardstock to form a box to "pop" the love sentiment from the frame.
  • I added a sticker to the heart on the top right and hung it from the top of the tray using fishing line.  The heart at the top center are white and red foamies.  I poured clear melted UTEE into an old bottled cap then sprinkled some melted red embossing powder top of the clear.
  •  The large heart at the center left is from gypsy wandering cut with matching shadow.
  •  The figure at the bottom left is from my dd's Lego set.
  • I added jewels using my I-Rock to the bottom pattern-paper strip.
I think this is one of my favorite projects!!
